AFC Playoff Trends It's hard to say who the Colts would have preferred to face in their opening round playoff matchup, but I have a feeling they wouldn’t have minded avoiding the physical Ravens, who demolished the Patriots last weekend.

Online sportsbooks have the Colts as the odds-on favorites to take the AFC championship and the Super Bowl, at +100 and +250 respectively.

This week they are listed as a 6.5-point home favorite with the Total set at 44.5.

Ravens vs. Colts Trends
In the last eight overall matchups between the two teams, the Colts are 6-2 against the spread and six of the eight games have gone Under.

Indianapolis hasn’t been too hot in its last 12 games in January, dropping eight of them.

In the Baltimore/Cleveland franchise’s last eight visits to Indy, the Total has gone Under seven times.

In the Colts’ last 10 games when favored by 8-points or less, they are 7-3 ATS.

NY Jets at San Diego Chargers:

It seems that all eyes are on San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson these days.

LT didn’t break away for any highlight-reel TDs last week, as the Chargers had a bye, but his “Electric Glide” video has gone viral — Law & Order star Anthony Anderson even busted into a glide Wednesday night/Thursday morning on the Jimmy Fallon show.

Tomlinson might be mildly amused by the attention he’s getting for his viral video but his focus is more on his team’s divisional playoff game against the New York Jets this weekend.

While the Chargers opened as 9-point home faves for the game, they are currently -7.5 with a Total of 42.5.

In San Diego’s last seven home games in January, they have posted only 1 Over and 6 Unders.

The Chargers are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall

In the Jets’ last seven games against the Chargers, they have an ATS record of 5-2 and in their last eight games overall are 6-2 ATS.

In the Jets’ last eight games when underdogs of 8-points or less they are 7-1 ATS.

The betting action has come in early on New York, bringing that number down. The Under has also been getting more attention, with 60% of the volume so far tagged to the game staying under 42.5.

Enjoy the games.
