The Friday night college football game features a matchup that will be interesting to watch as the TCU Horned Frogs and the BYU Cougars face off at Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
The opening line in this game has TCU listed as 11 point favorites. That number has been bet up two points as the early betting public has backed the double digit chalk to the tune of 74% and currently sits at 13.5 at some offshore sportsbooks.
The following could be due to the last game as the Horned Frogs trounced New Mexico by the final score of 69-0. That game should be almost completely overlooked as New Mexico is simply one of the worst teams in all of college football. TCU scored touchdowns on three of its four possessions in the second quarter to lead 41-0 at halftime, on their way to a record setting performance. They will get a much tougher challenge this week against the Cougars.
The Cougars had an equally impressive win over Idaho State, but they come into this game with an impressive body of work. They are on a five game winning streak and they have played against some tough opponents this year. The Cougars have this game circled as a chance to show that they can compete with winning teams. TCU has won the last three meetings by a combined score of 101-17 and if the Cougars can reverse that trend, it will go a long way to building confidence on this team.
Quarterback Riley Nelson will be called on to lead the Cougars in this game and he has been steady at the helm and does not turn the ball over, which will be vital in this contest.

The Cougars are 11-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last 13 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a win, and 4-0 ATS in their last four road games against a team with a winning home record.
The Horned Frogs are 0-5 ATS in their last five non-conference games and will have trouble covering this big number.
