LiLo and Gibson Emerge as Most Recent Celebs with Legal Issues -- FAN SPECULATION REACHES AN ALL TIME HIGH In a week which may turn out to be the only time you hear Lohan and Gibson mentioned in similar news coverage, celeb issues with the law hit the front lines once again.

Mel Gibson is facing potential lawsuits with his significant other and Lohan was recently slapped with a 90 day jail sentence.

As fans across the country look for answers, BetUS posted odds on both troubled stars’ situations.

Analysts at BetUS posted the following odds on Gibson and Lohan:

How long will LiLo actually serve in jail?

Over 24½ Days 10/11
Under 24½ Days 10/13

Notes:

Lohan is expected to serve only 23 days of her sentence, due to chronic overcrowding at jail facilities in Los Angeles, to be followed by a 90-day term in an inpatient rehab facility, meaning she is likely to be out of the star machinery full time until the fall.

Odds on how long until Lohan arrested after released:

1 Week after 8/1
2 Weeks or 1 Month after 5/1
2 or 3 Months after 7/2
4 or 6 Months After 4/1
More than 6 Months after 3/1

Will Mel Gibson serve any jail time?

Yes 2/1
No 1/3

Notes:

If No: Mel Gibson might be charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, not felony assault. Gibson has no serious prior convictions. In a case like that, a conviction would most likely mean probation and counseling, not jail time.

If Yes: If charged with felony assault, he could face up to four years in jail, but since he has no history of abuse, "his lawyers could broker a deal" and "perhaps spend 90 days in jail and then a probation period."

The evidence against him might not be that strong. If the judge agrees, "the tapes would be inadmissible and can’t be used against Mel."

Prosecutors could still base their case on her testimony alone, but her credibility will already have a strike against it. And if the audio tapes were under court seal and Grigorieva is found to have leaked them, she could be the one in legal trouble.

Odds tapes were doctored

Yes 1/2
No 3/2

Odds photos were doctored

Yes 10/13
No 10/11
