March Madness Betting Selection Sunday has come and gone, the “Play-In” game is over, the brackets are set. March Madness is here.

Online sportsbooks are taking action on all the games, big and small. There hasn’t been any significant line movement, as most games are seeing reasonably balanced action.

A few big dogs attracted early attention, as SPORTSBETTING.com reported action on Ohio, who are currently a 13.5-point underdog vs. Georgetown (Ohio has 61% of the volume in that matchup), and on Robert Morris, who are 18-point dogs vs. Villanova. Early money came in on Robert Morris right away, driving the line down to 18. The split is sitting at 64% on the big dog so far in that one.

Speaking of big underdogs, the Lehigh Mountain Hawks see themselves as 26-point underdogs in their opening round matchup with the Kansas Jayhawks.

In the Jayhawks’ last 14 games overall, they are 13-1 SU, but are only 5-9 against the spread in those starts. It is worth noting that Kansas is only 2-6 ATS the last eight times they have been favored by 8 points or more.

In the Jayhawks’ last 16 games played in the month of March, they have produced 4 Overs, 11 Unders and a Push.

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks booked a ticket to the Big Dance, thanks largely to an impressive run since Christmas.

The Mountain Hawks have been hot since Dec. 22, riding an 18-4 record SU.

Early betting action has been split pretty evenly, with Kansas sitting with 54% of the betting volume.

Syracuse vs. Vermont

Although one of the tourney’s top seeds, the Syracuse Orangemen could’ve placed higher had it not been for a loss to the Georgetown Hoyas in the Big East championship tournament.

Syracuse will open up March Madness play with a game against the Vermont Catamounts on Friday — the Orange are favored by 17.5-points.

Over/Under bettors take note: there have been 9 Overs, 1 Under and 1 Push in Syracuse’s last 11 games played in March.

Enjoy all the opening round action!
