The NCAA gets an early jump on NFL betting as they start their regular season tonight with a handful of games.
NCAA football’s eight month layoff is almost over and the regular season is set to start tonight with a number of games on the schedule.
No. 16 Oregon Ducks +4 Over 64
No. 14 Boise St. Broncos -4 Under 64
The main event on opening night features two Top 25 teams, Oregon and Boise State.
Boise State fans are no doubt excited about the start of another college football season as witnessed by the fact that tickets for the game were snatched up in an hour after going on sale.
The Boise State basketball arena will also be opened so students without tickets can watch the game.
Boise State head coach Chris Petersen thinks hype and excitement is a good thing for the students and the locals.
“I think it’s great for the city and great for the fans, and hopefully our team is prepared and does a great job,” Petersen told the AP.
Petersen and Bronco fans are also probably doubly excited that the Broncos open up at home.
Maybe visiting teams are mesmerized by the blue turf and can’t focus on the task at hand, but the Broncos have been red-hot on their home field, going 20-0 straight up in their last 20 games at Bronco Stadium.

On the other side of field, the Oregon Ducks elevated offensive coordinator Chip Kelly to the head coach position and the team would like to get things started off with a win.

The Utah Utes had a season for the ages last year, completing the perfect 13-0 season and receiving an invite to a BCS bowl, defeating Alabama 31-17 in the Sugar Bowl.
They covered as 8.5-point underdogs to boot.
The Utes enter the season ranked 19th in the AP poll but unfortunately for Utah, QB Brian Johnson has moved on, signing with the UFL’s New York Sentinels and the Utes will have a new QB lining up behind center.
Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said he won’t announce a starter until game time but according to reports, junior QB Terrence Cain has been taking a majority of the snaps with the first-team in practice.
The Utes have feasted on the Aggies in the last 11 games, going 11-0 SU and in its last 14 games overall, Utah has gone 14-0 SU.
In its last eight games, the Utes have also gone 6-2 ATS.
Betting Trends: Bettors like the big underdog in this one, as that 20-point line is attractive. Utah State is seeing a majority of the betting action with 65% of the volume siding with the Aggies.
