At first glance it appears the league's attempt at making late-season matchups more meaningful has worked. Atlanta (12-2 SU) is one of three NFC teams that has guaranteed itself a berth in the playoffs (Chicago, Philadelphia) but the stakes for tonight's contest are still high.
ATLANTA WINS!
If QB Ryan can engineer a straight-up (SU) win tonight it locks up the NFC South title and puts pressure on the Saints to rebound next week vs. Tampa Bay. The Falcons, not to mention every other team in the NFC, would breathe a lot easier knowing the defending champs were out.
NEW ORLEANS WINS!
Aside from pushing the Saints "Over" their Season Win Total of 10.5 (-130), a win tonight forces Atlanta to win-out if it wants to take the division title.
Regardless of what the Falcons do next week, a win tonight guarantees the Saints a Wild Card spot.
