This weekend's NFL card is not only one of the most attractive of the season but there are plenty of potential surprises for handicappers to win NFL predictions with as there are some truly ugly dogs that may win the beauty contest of payouts at the end of the weekend! The Diamond Sportsbook board offers plenty to think about this weekend for pro football handicappers.
Ugly Matchups
It's hard to fathom an uglier dog than the Seattle Seahawks, who are getting 3 points at Cleveland on Sunday in a 1 PM ET matchup. As ugly as Seattle is in that matchup it would be highly risky to lay any points with the inconsistent Browns. A lot of the general public will consider Cleveland an easy pick and that is exactly what makes Seattle a potential bargain value, ugly dog that they are, with the football odds.
The same would hold true for the Denver Broncos as they are in last place in the AFC West and will be traveling to Miami to take on the last place Dolphins. Miami is a 2 point favorite in a game that nobody should be favored in with kickoff Sunday at 1 PM ET. Much like Seattle, Denver is truly an ugly dog in every sense of the word and definition but the Dolphins have no business being favored against anyone.
Arizona has been near hopeless this season and is a 4 point home dog against perennial power Pittsburgh with kickoff set for 4:05 PM ET. The Cardinals will garner little public support, even as a home dog, as their offense has looked bad and will be facing one of the league's better defenses. The fact that nobody will want Arizona is what makes them potentially valuable here and handicappers must also take into account Pittsburgh's inconsistent offense.
Mismatches?
The winless St. Louis Rams will be a big dog at Dallas against a desperate Dallas team facing a must win scenario. Dallas has once again proven to be a dangerous team to make NFL predictions with as they have burned gamblers with inconsistent play and as bad as the Rams may be they are due for a win. Game time is 4:15 PM ET.
NBC is stuck with a Sunday Night stinker at 8:30 PM ET as there is no uglier dog than the Indianapolis Colts who travel to New Orleans to face the Saints. Those willing to take the Colts will get plenty of points and likely more than what is actually deserved.
