NFL Week 14 Lock of the Week: Michael Vick and the Eagles Top the Dolphins

The NFL lock of the week is the best play on the board and in week 14 that pick can be found in the game between the Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been a major disappointment all season long. The team was self-coined the "Dream Team" and they have failed to live up to the expectations and will be missing the playoffs barring a miracle.
The Miami Dolphins started the season off with a seven game losing streak, but are playing much better football as of late and are beating opponents handedly. Due to the recent turn of events the NFL week 14 odds have the Dolphins listed as three-point favorites. The public has thrown in the towel on the Eagles after the loss to the Seahawks and the public is actually betting on the Dolphins.
Betting on football based on past results can get you into big trouble. The Eagles still have plenty to play for and should win on this trip to South Beach. Michael Vick returns under center and that will get the offense in high gear. This will take pressure off of running back LeSean McCoy.
McCoy has reason to run in this game as he has the chance to make history. McCoy could be the first Eagle to lead the NFL in rushing in over half a century and that is a big deal to the second year starter.
"It's big," McCoy said of a potential rushing crown. "When you're competing with other guys around the league, you look forward to it."
There is more reason to win as the Eagle players realize that they are playing for head coach Andy Reid'’s job. After being embarrassed on national television against the lowly Seattle Seahawks, the Eagles have to go all out to get the win on Sunday.
The NFL week 14 trends are in favor of the Eagles. The Eagles are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games as a road underdog and the Dolphins are 9-29 ATS in their last 38 games as a home favorite.
The Dolphins will be out manned on defense and the Eagles will get back into the win column. The Philadelphia Eagles (+3) is the lock of the week.
