The Green Bay Packers are the best team in the National Football League and they have yet to lose a game. The San Diego Chargers are off perhaps the most embarrassing loss of the season on Monday night football. This Sunday these two teams will meet on the field in one of the best games of the week.
Kickoff time is 4:15 p.m. (Eastern) and the game will be televised by CBS, with Thom Brennaman, along with Brian Billick and Laura Okmin, working the game.
Coming off a bye week, the Packers should be well rested and ready to go for this game. The NFL odds for week nine opened with the Packers as 5.5 point favorites and the number was quickly bet up to six points after the Chargers self-destructed on Monday Night Football.
The Chargers seemed like they could have won the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on multiple occasions but kept giving the ball away, literally. The biggest turnover occurred in game winning position when Bolts quarterback Phillip Rivers fumbled the ball, and the game, to the Chiefs. Now they are back at home and have to get ready for the best team in the league on a short week.
This year the bye week does not always equate to victories, but it can only help the high-flying Packers. One thing to remember is that the Packers defense has not been as impressive as in the past. They rank 28th overall on defense and 31st against the pass and should be vulnerable to the passing attack of the Chargers.
