The Super bowl is quickly approaching and one of the favorite past times for the big game is proposition bets.
Super Bowl Prop Bets: Heads or Tails?
For those of you that don't know, here is the definition of the prop bet. In football gambling, a proposition bet (also known as a side bet, prop bet, prop or exotic bet) is a bet made on an outcome or a proposition of the game that could involve many different aspects of the game.
One of the most popular of these proposition bets is the coin toss. It is one of the easiest prop bets to wager on because you only have two choices, heads or tails.
It also gets the Super Bowl betting started early as the bets take place before the game kicks off. This proposition bet is already posted are -105 for Heads and -105 for tails.
You can also wager on what team will win the toss, the Giants or the Patriots.
It may be a quick fix for the football betting fan, but there is still some research that could be done in hopes of getting the winning result.
For example, in 45 Super Bowls, heads has been called 23 times and tails 22 and 24 of the 45 tosses have come up heads, and 21 tails. If you are looking for a team that will win the toss (another Super Bowl prop bet) it may important to know that the NFC has 24 Super Bowl wins, with a dominating 31 coin toss wins and the AFC has 21 Super Bowl wins, compared to only 14 coin toss wins.
Let's face it when it comes to Super bowl propositions, the coin toss is a fan favorite. Although it may be based primarily on luck it is always fun to bet on the opening coin toss.
