U2 has long reigned supreme as the world's biggest rock band and in recent years Coldplay has seemed poised to overtake them. With tongue-in-cheek barbs being slung by both group's front men starting with Bono calling Chris Martin a "wanker", speculation has grown to a fever pitch as it only can in the world of rock and roll with regards to which group will have the biggest year.
