AT FIRST GLANCE...there are games that always look 'Tasty' ATS in many publication as a 'Bullet' trend only to 'trap' upon further review. In 2006, The Director looked for the first time to clear the way for you to understand which team has the real 'ADVANTAGE' against the 'Trend'. The Trends are 2-2 against the spread thus far in 2007.
9.11 This is a very interesting week for division foes, who had their historical trends go upside-down in 2006 when facing off with one another. ‘Think that the Indianapolis Colts are a lock?’ You may want to keep clear when you consider that the TENNESSEE TITANS went 2-0 ATS in their 2006 matchups; outscoring the Colts by a margin of just over 1 point per game, the Titans offered up the biggest upset of the year in Week 12;
‘Think the Raiders merry-go-round at quarterback is too much to overcome?’ Even in the darkest days of 2006, the Oakland Raiders were able to take out the DENVER BRONCOS. With the Broncos favored by an average of 12 points per game in their 2006 matchups, the Raiders were able to go 2-0 ATS by allowing Plummer and the Bronco offense only 15 points per game; covering in Week 6 with only 3 points on the board.
‘Thinking about renewing your Monday Night Subscription for The Director’s Picks?' There couldn't be a better time to do it with the Washington Redskins facing the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES. Coming off their last minute win at Home versus Miami, Joe Gibbs faces his 2006 nemesis, who took 2 games ATS versus both Brunell and Campbell by allowing only 11 points per game.
9.11 Having stopped the ‘iron man’ Jeff Garcia, and taken down their foe in Tampa Bay, who up until Sunday had gone 2-0 ATS in their last 2 versus the Seattle Seahawks, the Seahawks hit the road to face the ARIZONA CARDINALS, 4-0 ATS in their last four games of 2006. Unfortunate for Leinart, who continued his 2006 struggles opening with only a 50% completion percentage and a 41.1 rating, will face the Seahawks, who are 3-1 ATS in their last four matchups.
ADVANTAGE SEAHAWKS
9.11 We are getting on the first train in 2007 with the Cincinnati Bengals, who are 5-0 SU versus the the CLEVELAND BROWNS in their last 5 matchups. 4-1 ATS in those games, the a 30-0 victory Cleveland last time around on 300 yards through the air contributed to the Bengals outscoring the Browns by an average of 21 points on 32 points per game in 2006.
ADVANTAGE BENGALS
9.11 ‘Don’t be fooled by Kitna’s Air Attack against the Raiders.’ The Minnesota Vikings have conquered the DETROIT LIONS’ hype before. The Vikings powering a 4-0 run ATS in their four matchups with the Lions, including a 10-0 run SU in their last 10; the Vikings not losing since Dennis Green was at the helm in 2001. Having not been an favored in any of their matchups over the last 10 years, Kitna’s Lions, who lost by over 9 points per game in 2006 will hope that Calvin Johnson has the magic to reincarnate the famous 2001 Home upset.
