PartyGaming Loses $26.5 Million in 2009

Online poker and casino operator PartyGaming has recently reported a net loss of $26.5 million for 2009.
The main driver behind the loss was $101 million associated with a non-prosecution agreement signed with U.S. authorities. Profit from operating activities actually rose 4% to $81.1 million.
The company also stated that there has been a decline in its poker business, but that it has enjoyed stronger revenue from casino and bingo.
According to company representatives, its performance in the first two months of 2010 are in line with the board's expectations.
The company made a profit of $66.9 million in 2008.
